Pengelolaan press release oleh humas PT Pos Indonesia (PERSERO) Divisi Regional VI Jateng dan DIY
The purpose of this study was to identify the management of press release made by the Public Relations of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Regional Division VI Central Java and Yogyakarta including prior preparation to make press release, write press releases, send press release, monitor the situation after sending press release, the impact and constraints to be facing after sending press release.
The data were collected by Interviews, observation, literature and documentation studies, and then analyzed them by qualitative analysis method. It was found out that the preparations which were done before making press release by Public Relations were collecting data to writing press release, determining the intended target audience, determining which mass media would be addressed. The process of making press release was done by the Public Relations which implemented the elements of 5W+1H and used the inverted pyramids. The delivery of press release was done through the mail. After the press release sent by Public Relations, they monitored the press release by telephone to the mass media and made clipping press release when it was published in the mass media. The impact of the loading press release was that public could obtain information relating to the company and can increase a positive image of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero). The Public Relations officer did not encounter significant obstacles because the partnerships that was established made a good relationship between the Public Relations with the mass media.
