ANALISIS POTENSI FINANCIAL DISTRESS PENERAPAN METODE SPRINGATE PADA SUB SEKTOR PERKEBUNAN YANG TERDAFTAR PADA BURSA EFEK INDONESIA PERIODE 2018-2022 = ANALYSIS OF POTENTIAL FINANCIAL DISTRESS APPLYING THE SPRINGATE METHOD IN THE PLANTATION SUB-SECTOR LISTED ON THE INDONESIAN STOCK EXCHANGE FOR THE PERIOD 2018-2022
The emergence of potential financial distress is an early indication of a decline in the financial health condition of a company. This study aims to determine the potential for bankruptcy in the 2018-2022 plantation sub-sector companies. Furthermore, after knowing the company's financial condition, the next research objective is to find out the strategies that can be applied to overcome these conditions. The samples selected were five companies selected based on the purposive sampling method. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The method used in this study is the Springate S-Score method with four financial ratios consisting of Working Capital to Total Assets, Earnings Before Interest and Tax to Total Assets, Earnings Before Tax to Current Liabilities, and Sales to Total Assets. The results of this study indicate that during the 2018-2022 period the average plantation sub-sector company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange was in the distress category, several companies were in the distress category for five years, namely PT Andira Agro Tbk, PT Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk, and PT Jaya Agra Wattie Tbk. There is one company for four years included in the distress category and one year of non-distress, namely PT Mahkota Group Tbk. While PT Wahana Pronatural Tbk is the only company for five consecutive years that is included in the non-distress category.
