Analysis of Waste Production by Applying The Lean Six Sigma Methode to Reduce Defects on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Convection in Kudus = Analisis Waste Produksi dengan Mengaplikasikan Metode Lean Six Sigma untuk Mengurangi Defect pada UMKM Konveksi di Kudus
This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted on three MSMEs of convection in Kudus because Muslimah clothing convection in Kudus is increasing. However, in the production process, several defective products were still found. The existence of these defects indicates the presence of waste in the production process. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out about waste during the production process and the causes of defects. So that it can know the corrective steps to reduce defects in the production process. Based on the waste identification that has been done, the most critical waste defects are selected using the AHP questionnaire. Then the DPMO calculation was carried out, which showed the sigma level value for the three MSMEs, namely 3.75, 3.57, and 3.64. Then analyze the root causes of waste by using fishbone diagrams and FMEA tables. Recommendations for improvements are given to reduce the occurrence of these root causes. If the recommendations for improvement are implemented, there will be an increase in the sigma level for the three MSMEs, namely 4.02, 4.19, and 3.97.
