Clustering of 3PL Supply Chain Collaboration: Key Performance Indicators of Partners in Supporting Logistic Services of PT Transindo Transportasi Logstik = Clustering of 3PL Supply Chain Collaboration: Key Performance Indicators of Partners in Supporting Logistic Services of PT Transindo Transportasi Logstik
In global trade industry, efficient supply chain operations are crucial, therefore, collaboration among stakeholders becomes pivotal due to resource constraints. This thesis evaluates PT Transindo Transportasi Logistik's partnerships with its vendors using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)-based-survey and Hierarchical Cluster analysis. The study aims to answer two questions: exploring how rating variations across clusters reflect the assessment of horizontal collaboration with trucking partners, and investigating how similarity in ratings for specific assessments across clusters indicates vertical collaboration effectiveness with freight forwarding partners. Results show the emergence of fourteen clusters denoted cluster a to cluster n and distinct KPI alignments with the clusters. Notably, competitive pricing for trucking partners and historical business performance for freight forwarding partners emerge as key priorities of PT Transindo Transportasi Logistik in choosing partners. The alignment between KPIs and clusters resonates with the Resource-Based View (RBV) principles, highlighting both tangible and intangible assets of the partners. This thesis discusses the intricacies of collaboration, offering strategic insights and a comprehensive understanding of PT Transindo Transportasi Logistik's partner selection and resource optimization.
