The existence and role of a secretary is to become the foundation of successful leadership and managerial activities, in helping the work of the leadership of a secretary in demand for professionals. Professionals are not only concerned with issues of competence, but also attitude. Professional Secretary is supposedly able to use his/her mind to solve his/her problems and not to give up easily. A secretary is also constantly expanding their knowledge and continuous learning. A secretary joins a professional association to build professionalism in the work. “ISI” as a professional organization focused as a professional network and educational resource for its members, constantly try out various support activities such as seminars, member gatherings, outbound, self-development training and competency training as well as many other useful activities.
The purpose of this report is to determine the role of “ISI” branch of Semarang in building the professionalism for its members. Data are collected by observation, literature interviews and review with 8 (eight) members of the ISI branch of Semarang. The research was written in descriptive method.
The role of ISI branch of Semarang for members is career and professional work attitude in the office, to improve knowledge and skills a secretary. Expansion of networking and effective communication is better.
