The aim of this final project report is to find out the implementation of insurance principles in marine cargo insurance at PT. Asuransi Umum Bumiputera Muda 1967 Semarang Branch.

This final project used interviews and literature reviews to collect the data and it was written descriptively qualitative.

The result of this final project is that PT. Asuransi Umum Bumiputera Muda 1967 Semarang Branch has implemented the five principles of insurance, namely principle of Utmost Good Faith, Insurable Interest, Indemnity, Subrogation and Contribution which are implemented when claims are handled. Besides, Utmost Good Faith principle is also implemented on pre policy issuance.
