Tata cara pembuatan rencana sandar (berthplan) kapal pada PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal petikemas Semarang
PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang is a company that giving the container services as a terminal operator. Berthing a ship is not only planned in an easy way but also requires nearly exact estimate, includes Estimate Time Arrival (ETA), Estimate Time Berthing (ETB), and Estimate Time Departure (ETD), and the arrival of the ships that coming late from the schedule’s will have an impact with the next shipment.
The purposes of this final project are; to find out what procedures that used by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang for making a ship berth plan, to search any documents that related. The third, to know the parties that involved in making a ship berth plan, to know how to handle a mismatch between the ship berth plan and the realisation.
The writing method that used in this final project is a descriptive method which describes the problem that caused the ships could not arrive on time. The methods of collecting data are; Observation by doing directly observation to PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang by following the meeting, Interview by giving some questions to the staffs of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang, Literature by finding the other information that related in the other books, magazines, articles.
The result from this final project about the procedures for making a ship berth plan at PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang are; Determining the type of the service, set the Estimate Time Berthing (ETB) and Estimate Time Departure (ETD), estimate the number of discharging and loading containers, establish berth working time,determination a berth position, determination the equipments that will be used.
The conclusion to handle a mismatch between the ship berth plan and the realisation is, PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang has to make a “Window Berthing System” improvement. Window Berthing System has been applied previously, but only on the Estimate Time Arrival (ETA) by maximizing the time of arrival at least 4 hours after ETA set. Window Berthing System should be applied to Estimate Time Departure (ETD) and the activities of loading and discharging containers must be finished even if the loading and discharging have not been completed.
