The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of location, facilities, and
price on the consumer's decision to choose a boarding house. This research will provide information
for boarding house owners to find out the factors needed in order to survive in the competitive
boarding house business.
This research using multiple linear regression analysis, independent variables in this research are
the location, facilities, and prices, while for the dependent variable in this research is the
consumer's decision to choose a boarding house. Methods of data collection used in this research
are conducting, interview and distributing questionnaries to 100 students boarding more than 6
months in Tembalang.
The results of the analysis using multiple linear regression equation obtained as follows: Y =
2.140 + 0.166 X1 + 0.220 X2 + 0.177 X3, it can be determined from the equation the variable
location (X1), facilities (X2), and the price (X3) a positive influence on consumer decisions to
choose a boarding house, and which has a
dominant influence is the facilities variable.
