Pengaruh mutasi terhadapi motivasi kerja pegawai pada PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) cabang Tanjung Emas Semarang
The primary purpose of the research is to find out the influence of job mutations on employees’ working motivation in PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Cabang Tanjung Emas Semarang.
The methods of collecting data were observation, interview and questionnaire. They were distributed to 38 employees in general department at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Cabang Tanjung Emas Semarang.
The result of the simple linier regression was Y= 0,393+0,943X. It means that job mutations and employees’ working motivation had positive correlation. Job mutations had significant influence toward the employees’ working motivations at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Cabang Tanjung Emas Semarang, it was shown by the calculation of t calculation (11.706) which wasbigger than t table (1.688). The result of determination coeficient (R Square) was 0,792 or 79,2% of increasing employees’ working motivation was influenced by the job mutations. Whereas the rest of 20,8% was influenced by another variable which was not observed.
It is suggested that : 1) Mutation : should be done openly and necessarily to be evaluated, 2) Motivation : Employees whose mutations should be guided and nurtured and Employees who have mutations should get rewards for work, career, and meet the company's achievements. For future research of is suggested that different variables can be split into Job Promotion, Job Rotation and Job Demotion.
