Vessel Operation Services At Semarang Container Terminal Branch PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero)
The aims of this study are to describe the vessel operation services process and to find out the impact of the difference of the vessel operation estimation and the realization services.
This final project uses descriptive qualitative method. The data for this final project are qualitative, quantitative, primary and secondary data. The data were collected by doing observation, interview and literature study.
The result of the study shows that there are 5 processes to do vessel operation services. Those processes are monthly meeting, daily meeting, vessel berthing service, vessel operation and departure, and evaluation. The parties involved in vessel operation services are operation plan officer, shipping company officer, foreman or vessel operation officer, tally man, gantry crane operator, loading and discharging officers, chief of the vessel, and security officer. The impacts of the difference of the vessel operation estimation and the realization services are that the shipping agent pays an extra cost for the delay of berthing and the first berthing vessel will get a service priority. In other words, the delay of berthing vessel will get second priority in vessel operation services.
