Sistem Penyimpanan Arsip pada PT. Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) Semarang
Archives are records of activities or events made or received by government institute or private organization, archives have value and stored systematically. They are easy to be found when they are required. This research is carried out at PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) Semarang, a State Owned Enterprise (SEO) engaged in general insurance business.
The main purpose of the final project is to find out the filing system of PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) Semarang and to know the implementation of the archival with mannual procedure that has been defined.
This final project was written desriptive and the data were collected by observation, interview and literature studies. This research was observation at Finance Department and Technical Department.
The result shows that filing system applied at PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero) Semarang is subject filing system. The archive handling in the Finance Department and Technical Department is in line with mannual procedure that has been defined. The problem is the archives on the Technical Department Underwriting Sub Division are not stored in the storage device that has been provided. It will take long time to retrieve the archive that will be used in the Technical Unit Underwriting Sub Division.
