Persepsi Karyawan terhadap Gaya Kepemimpinan Pimpinan Bank PD BKK Pringsurat Temanggung
The purpose of the study is to find out employee perception of leadership style performed by the Director at BANK PD BKK PRINGSURAT TEMANGGUNG, based on Seng-Sengupta, Sunita (1997) from Fuad Mas’ud (2004) which consist of five dimensions. They are partisipative style, nuturant style, authoritarian style, bereaucratic style, task oriented style.
The method of collecting the data were observation, Questionnaires, and literature studies. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative method. The data used are the primary data and secondary data. Primary data are included Questionnaires answered by the respondents. Secondary data are obtained from the books, as from the information given by the employee at BANK PD BKK PRINGSURAT TEMANGGUNG.
The research result shows that the employee have positive perception for partisipative leadership style of Director. The reason is based on the score of employee perception which was higher that 3.67 percent and the employee has negative perception for implementation of authoritarian leadership based on the score of employee perception which was lower that 2.46 percent.
The results can be concludes that employee were satisfied with the participating leadership style of Director and they were not very satisfied with the implementation of authoritarian leadership style of Director.
It is recommended that the Director use partisipative leadership style for handling the employees and rarely of authoritarian leadership style. The Director can apply leadership style appropriate of employee and situation. With exact leadership style can give motivation to employees to reach a company purpose.
