The existence of the secretary in secretariat section is needed to support the success of an organization or institution. The secretary in secretariat section was established to assist the manager task in completing all matters related to the efficient management tasks.
The aim of this research are to know tasks the secretary in secretariat section Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Semarang Barat, and know the obstacles tasks the secretary and how the solution in secretariat section Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Semarang Barat . The research was written with descriptive method by using primary data and secondary data obtained by interview, observation and literature review. The result of the research are: Tasks of secretary in secretariat section Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Semarang Barat, which is in dealing with the management of incoming and outgoing mail, dealing with the telephone service includes telephone entry and exit, write message and share it with manager, welcoming guests and pass them on the manager. as well as in preparing the metting for the manager include: determine the time meetings, determine meeting agendas, create meetings invitations, prepare equipment and supplies, prepare and make minutes of the meeting.
