THE ROLES AND THE TASKS OF A SECRETARY IN ASSISTING THE LEADER IN BADAN PENDIDIKAN DAN PELATIHAN PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH
The purpose of this final project is to describe the roles and tasks of the secretary in assisting the leader to carry out the task, and also to find out the requirements to be a secretary in Badan Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Secretary addressed in this final project is the Organization Secretary.
This final project report is descriptively written by using primary and secondary data obtained by observation, interviews, and literature study. It is found that the roles of the secretary in Badan Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Provinsi Jawa Tengah are as an intermediary or communication channels
with people who want to relate to the leader, as a source of the necessary information by the leader, as a progessors desire the leader to the subordinates, as an alternative thinking of the leader, as a factor supporting the success of the job of leader, as a keeper or front-liner of the company, as a
filter and information management, as an advisor to request variety of opinions, and as a connector or public relations. The secretary’s duties include routine tasks, incidental duties and creative tasks.
