The analysis of the influence of capital adequacy ratio (CAR), operating expenses to operating earnings (OEOE), and non performing loan (NPL) toward profitability of public banks listed on Indonesia stock exchange in the period of 2010-2014
This study aims to analyze the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Operating Earnings to Operating Earnings (OEOE), and Non Performing Loan (NPL) toward profitability (ROA) of public banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2010-2014. This is a causal study with a population of public banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. While the sample of this study was determined by using purposive sampling method, therefore obtained 24 samples of 36 public banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in the observed period (2010-2014).
The data used in this study is secondary data collected through the official website of Bank Indonesia, website of Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the website of respective public banks in Indonesia. The analyzing method used is multiple linear regression.
The results of the study showed that CAR, OEOE, and NPL simultaneously significantly influence the ROA of public banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. Partially CAR did not significantly influence ROA, while BOPO and NPL significantly influence ROA of public banks listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2010-2014.
