Sistem Pembayaran Ekspor Komoditi The Dengan Menggunakan Advance Payment Dan Sight L/C Pada PT Perkebunan Nusantara SMG
The purposes of this Final Project are, firstly to find out the system of export payment that was used by PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Semarang, secondly to describe the liquefaction procedure of the fund with Advance Payment and Sight L/C and thirdly to find out the obstacle and the solution using Advance Payment and Sight L/C. Data were collected by observation, interviews and literature studies. Descriptive method was used to write this report.
The result shows that in the international trade transaction, PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Semarang uses Advance Payment and Sight L/C. The method of Advance Payment is simpler than Sight L/C. With Advance Payment, seller will receive payment before sending the goods. With Sight L/C seller receives payment after sending the goods.
It is concluded that using Advance Payment is more profitable for the exporters than using Sight L/C.
