Perancangan sistem informasi agenda surat pada PT PLN (Persero) UPJ Semarang Timur (Aplikasi Visual Foxpro)
The purposes of this final project are to identify the working process to receive, save and send mail in PT. PLN (PERSERO) UPJ SEMARANG TIMUR, then make design of Information system for Mail Agenda with Visual Fox-pro Application.
The first method in collecting primary data is by doing observation in PT. PLN (PERSERO) UPJ SEMARANG TIMUR, the second method is by interviewing some Administration and Finance section staff at PT. PLN (PERSERO) UPJ SEMARANG TIMUR, and third method is by reading books and literatures related with the issues
The mail arrangement in PT. PLN (PERSERO) UPJ SEMARANG TIMUR has many weaknesses, in which double numbering happens and mail couldn’t be found easily. The design of Information system mail agenda by using Visual Fox-pro Application has 5 menus, those are primary data, mail, Report, accessories and exit program.
It is recommended that the use Information System Mail Agenda with Visual Fox-pro Application, which could solve the problem, because the Visual Fox-pro Program is easy to use due to simple language. Visual Fox-pro Program has Local Data Storage which means the process would be accessed fast.
