Hubungan pelatihan dan pengembangan pegawai terhadap peningkatan kinerja pegawai pada badan arsip dan perpustakaan daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah Semarang
Every organization, company, or institution needs potential human resources. They are important assets for company or institution to get success, since the human resources are potential to represent the company and give good services to public, so the company needs employees who have capability and good knowledge for their jobs. The objectives of this study were to identify the relationship of training and developing and increase of the performance of employees and the strength of relationship between them at Badan Arsip dan Pepustakaan Daerah Propinsi Jawa Tengah. The methods of collecting data used in this research were interview, questionnaire and literature study. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, 75 questionnaires were distributed but there were 57 returned. The data were analyzed using the chi square (X2) and coefficient contingency to identify the relationship of training and developing and increase of the performance of employees and the relationship strength between them. The empirical results show that chi square score of training and developing is 278,033 which is higher than chi square score of table ( 260,99), and the result of coefficient contingency is 0,859 that is almost closed to coefficient contingency maximum (0,866), therefore it can be concluded that the relationship of training and developing and increase of the performance of employees have strong relationship.
